Rájádhirájá Yoga
Raja in Sanskrit means King. Rajadhiraja means King of the kings.
This Rajadhiraja form of yoga is a complete, all-round systematic and scientific process for the development of the body, of the mind, and of the soul; leading to the total experience of the Infinite – what in yoga is called “self-realization.” It is a synthesis of processes for the evolution of mind towards the supreme spiritual flow, the essence being the practical and continual expansion of mind. Its goal is the all-round elevation of human beings, both individually and collectively. It is a total response to human longing and aspiration.
Rajadhiraja, an authentic, spiritually focused yoga that includes not only asanas (the physical poses associated with yoga) but also includes the seven other limbs of Ashtanga Yoga necessary for the purification of cakras.
The eight limbs:
1. Yama and 2. Niyama (principles of morality)
3. Asana (yoga postures)
4. Pranayama (breath control)
5. Pratyahara (withdrawal of mind)
6. Dharana (concentration)
7. Dhyana (meditation)
8. Samadhi (suspension of mind in the goal)
“He is infinite.
He has no beginning and no end.
He is the unbroken flow of pure and serene bliss,
stretching from beginninglessness to endlessness.”
Infiniti Yoga
Infiniti Yoga is a new style of yoga performed while walking in Infinity or the number eight shape and that is how it gets its name based on the infinity symbol shape Ꝏ. Each practitioner will follow the one in front by keeping some distance. The leader will assume some positions and or movements and the rest of the practitioners will follow.
The positions/movements lead by the teacher will change at the intersection. It is up to the time and space factor to decide how many Infiniti rounds the teacher wants to follow. The pace of movements in Infiniti Yoga is such that there is a gradual exposure from slow and gentle to faster and strenuous. For the initial few sessions, it is normal for your body to feel sore all over, the next few sessions, the body will be conditioned to the intensity and the sore will slowly disappear. After practising for some time, the body will get more and more energy and the mind clearer.
Many yogis believe that the practice of yoga ásanas is an indoor discipline and should not practice in the outdoor. The sequences of “ásanas” developed in Infinity Yoga integrates the indoor and outdoor “ásanas, exercises and innercises” benefits. The main goal in this effort was to create something useful and beneficial to yoga practitioners in both indoor and outdoor.
Our Yoga Center in Singapore is ideal for Infiniti yoga so the entire concept was developed indoor. But it is perfectly fine to practice outdoor too. It is to believe that everyone irrespective of age who practice Infiniti Yoga will get a lot of benefits on the physical, mental and spiritual levels.
